Like a fish in water
GENÈSE DU PROJET
Since 2012, a little goldfish has been surreptitiously appearing in my paintings, first on paper, then on silk and soon on linen canvases. I realized that each of his appearances in my works had a particular resonance with my professional and personal trajectory... from lawyer to painter.

So, intuitively, I came to write a story that retraced his route, which I entitled "The tale of the goldfish who thought he was a sardine".
​
More than a personal story, this tale should be understood more generally as the story of many people in today's society who, after a significant event (illness, professional or personal suffering...) decide to change their lives to return to themselves, to the essential... and end up revealing themselves to themselves.
​
FROM TALES TO CULTURAL MEDIATION
Following this tale, I wanted to launch a collaborative project with other contributors who would enrich it with their art and expertise.
This led to the creation of “Comme un poisson dans l'eau” (Like a fish in water), a multidisciplinary cultural mediation project based around the painting exhibition and the tale.

The first realization of this project took place in September 2024 in Martigues, with the help of the collective La Raffinerie: We had the following workshops :
-
Creative dance with Géraldine Colomba,
-
“Give your fish some color” artistic workshop with Nadine Fernandez for children, and
-
an evening of reading led by psychotherapist Laura Schuller, to explore the universal themes highlighted by this initiatory tale: self-knowledge, stepping outside your comfort zone, suffering as a catalyst for transformation, letting go, distancing yourself, and asserting your uniqueness.

Wishing to set up the project in Munich, it is with l'Atelier de Valérie and the fondation Curt Wills that I now have the pleasure of bringing this project to life, enriched with new paintings and new workshops.

About
ART WORKSHOP FOR ADULTS/TEENAGERS
We will explore colors together, learn how to use them, create a harmonious palette... to produce one or more acrylic paintings on paper.

Storytelling evening: I will briefly recount my journey from lawyer to artist during an interview with La Ruche Munich. The discussion will be enriched by the presence of Laure Mas, coach, who will contribute to the collective reflection on the themes of transition, suffering as a catalyst for transformation, and the affirmation of one's uniqueness.
